The survival kits available here represent essential products that make humanitarian aid possible in the Polish-Belarusian border region. By purchasing specific products, you decide what your money will be used for. This can be items necessary for survival in the forest, legal support or covering the costs of conducting humanitarian interventions.

The path from your financial contribution to direct aid:

Depending on which products you choose, your contribution will be allocated to the appropriate funding category that meets the most urgent and important needs we face in organising the support for people on the move.

Categories of support include:

• essential products: food (water, food products and electrolytes) and non-food and medical products needed to provide direct assistance in the forest,
• psychological and legal support: psychological and legal support for people on the move and for activists (staff and volunteers), 
• direct support: the costs of providing assistance incurred by people helping on the ground, the cost of equipment and clothing for those conducting interventions, subsidising salaries for aid workers, the costs of maintaining bases and warehouses, fuel costs.

20 per cent of each donation will go towards the operational costs of providing aid, that is: the costs of maintaining bases, the costs of maintaining warehouses, administrative costs (financial coordination, accounting), salaries, car repairs, translations, storekeeping costs. These are all extremely important things, without which those carrying out humanitarian interventions in the forest would not be able to operate efficiently and safely.

What is next?

The funds raised in this way go directly to the organisations (that are part of Border Group coalition) providing humanitarian aid in Podlasie. They are the heart of our activities and they need regular and flexible financial support in order to be able to continue their interventions, in accordance with the principles of humanitarianism.

Each of the organisations operating in Podlasie region, which has a legal entity and is part of the grassroots coalition called Border Group, can apply for funding for specific needs from the funds raised by the operation of the Store Without Borders. Transparency is very important to us. We want every person who decides to support us to know what happens with money they contribute. That is why we will post quarterly updates about the funds collected.

On a cyclical basis, we will also post a summary of the activities carried out with the money collected through the donations made to Store Without Borders.
