This is why there is a need to provide new phones, powerbanks and charging cables - so that people who cross the border can contact their relatives and, if need be, call for humanitarian and legal assistance. Internet access enables people to use maps and navigation and to make international calls to families. A working phone is a life-saving item at the border.
To ensure connectivity, one needs:
